1954-2021: From Heinkel factory to Aircraft Philipp Group – How a motor scooter factory became a global player in the aircraft industry

1954

Production of the Heinkel Tourist motor scooter in Karlsruhe

1962

Processing of structural components for the aerospace industry in Karlsruhe

1998

Establishment of Aircraft Philipp. The company started off by manufacturing milled parts but also built airplanes and obtained accreditation for them. It was also able to achieve Part 21G accreditation. Aircraft Philipp thus has plenty of experience in the field of aircraft construction – hence the name.

2006

Acquisition of the Karlsruhe site by Aircraft Philipp

2010

Strategic partnership with BAZ Airborne Components & Assemblies in Israel

2014

Strategic realignment with a new focus on the production of ready-to-install components

2015

Construction of a shared distribution warehouse for both production sites

2016

Strategic partnership with Sansera Engineering PVt. Ltd. in India

2017

First military contract awarded by Boeing

2018

First contracts awarded by Airbus, Boeing Commercial, Triumph Aerostructures, Stelia.

Research activities in the field of additive manufacturing initiated

 

 

2020

AMAG Austria Metall AG acquires a 70% stake in the German Aircraft Philipp Group (ACP) headquartered in Übersee am Chiemsee.

2022

AMAG aquires the remaining 30 percent stake in the German Company Aircraft Philipp (ACP).

ACP is renamed "AMAG components"
